Fokus Maximus Fortuitus!

Cut and Dry - This is what I am looking for in my next 2-4yr lasting computer.
Note: - I care not for Vista, or Win7, thats like 2-3 yrs down the line and ill get a new system for it.
Note: I dare not pay more than 1k for a desktop.. thats the budget.
Note: I will probably buy a $300-400 1920x1200 monitor down the line and a 200$ G19.

Ok that said: I want to run highest resolutions. Always: Dual-screen. Budget 1k.

Case:
- 140 (CoolerMaster NV690 nVIDIA Edition ATX Mid-Tower Case)
- vs 230 (CoolerMaster HAF 932 Full-Tower Case)

Power:
- 600W - 650W (120-200$)

HD:
- 10000rpm , low capacity (100-200$)

CD-drive:
- Possibly just grab from old machine.. no need to upgrade

Standard CPU Cooling Fan:
- not overclocking so (20-50$)

THE MEAT:
1. CPU: - 9950 Phenom 64X quadcore - $245
2. RAM: - 2x2GB 1066mhz ram - Patriot $85
3. Motherboard:
- MSI K9A2CF-F AMD790x (2pceislots) ($120)
- vs MSI K9W2 Platinum nforce 750a AM2+ (2slots) ($185)
4. Graphics Card:
- sapphire radeon HD 4850 1GBDDR3 (227$)
- vs 9800GTX+ cards ($200- 280) ... 1GBDDR3 prefered on high end.

Anyways... now i just gotta find a way to get 3yr + warrenty on all this for under 1k.

Today I resigned from my Corporate Sales Job at Marcusevans.

I had been so sure for 2 months that this was a good decision. Even now it feels like the appropriate move. Externalities aside, the core reason for going I have is that ideally i have something better to move on to. So that sits well with me, then again, I tend to be concerned with "new" things, especially when they change everything about your new daily routine.

The things that bug me now are:
A. My director left the day I left - Odd coincidence (yes in my decision making), but subtly i feel like maybe somehow my discontent stems from this in the first place.
B. My direct boss left for 2 months to get married back in India. (He may not return)

In all honestly, it leaves nothing but opportunity for me to advance. It's just like me to typically swoop in and fix a sinking ship. It's a challenge I typically enjoy, it's one with low expectations and high reward possibilities. Why the change in approach for me this time?

All in all, I just seems to think that even with my future boss asking me if I would like to stay on with them under her, (meaning my efforts would be valued), I just don't think this is a ship I want to captain eventually anyway anymore. And that's the decision that I make without truely knowing what I might be giving up. I can't know what managing multiple teams would be like and I can't know what my new path might lead to either.

So I'm going to opt for something new. Because, thats just how I roll. Because I like trying new things, and at Marcusevans, it would be a lot of the same old same old. Many people will be missed.

So i don't really get why I operate in 2 sort of zones.

1. Very flexible , open to changed plans, open to travel-like randomness and unschedualedness.

2. Structured Life. Planable, predicatable, cost effect, logistically simple.

They are like completely seperate in styles yet im only good at either extreme..
Balancing this as of late has been very ... mentally taxing.

So you took over my Blog rights have you Google?
Well then I guess I win then, I've been calling for this kinda blogger content stability for ages.
I would still like to be able to download and copy my content easily for prostate posterity.
But Google you make me proud.

I had one of my needy moments to hear old FF3 music while doing more endless excel spreadsheet blabbersearching. Which then reminds me again of the wonderful "Play concert" me and Wayne and others attended. But consider this .. random indeed:

I think that a "Play Concert" would be exactly where i would want to spend my last evening of life. Ok maybe not with penis DS writing hooligans my age, but with that calming FF3 ochestra playing in my face i think I would enjoy passing into the nethervoid or the afterlife via the sound of infantecimally improved midi music streaming into my subconcious.

Just a thought.

On a more marky personal note,
I kinda shut down everything in my life in the last month.

The only thought that currently still excites me,
- The thought of going to travel, teach english, learn a language & culture or two.
So that's the highly probable case for me.

Will likely scrape a 600 - 600 on my Gmat. probably won't do much better nor do I really care. Just hope some research degree won't require stellar standardized test scores.
I gotta quit wasting my life.
When the heck did i ever do this the traditional way anyway?
I guess im ok with that again.
